Favorite Things: The Birkenstock Boston

Goosebumps, The Haunted Mask. Am I dating myself? In third grade I was too scared to read the books but curious enough to look at all the book covers. Synopsis: Girl wants to scare people, gets scary mask, puts it on as a joke, and eventually she can't take it off. 

Similar story for the Birkenstock Boston. I grabbed these from Concepts last year and began to rock them as a joke. My girlfriend hated them, her mom hated them, my mom hated them. I wore them more. Over time however, I realized it wasn't a joke any more, I seriously loved wearing the Birkenstock Boston model, so much so, that in 2015 it was without a doubt, the most worn shoe in my rotation. 

Retailing $140 (sneaker hack, you can find these under retail brand new all over ebay), these are extremely well made. German craftsmanship is apparent in every pair, and they have a "Buy it for Life" policy where you can get your shoes re-soled by sending them back. Better still, these are, honest to goodness, among the most comfortable footwear choices I own.
